Young goalkeeper Logan Curtis has been with Steve Hale Goalkeeping School for the past two years in the regular Wednesday evening group sessions. In the last year Logan also worked on a 1-2-1 basis a couple of times a month with Steve Hale overseeing his early development. Logan had also been training with Swindon Town Academy where he was also offered a contract. However having been on trial for 5 weeks at Reading FC at their Category 1 top level training facility he impressed the coaching staff there enough to be offered a contract in Berkshire which he decided with his parents to accept.

"It's brilliant news on one hand but sad for myself and my coaches to lose him from my goalkeeping school. However our aim is to try and develop young goalkeepers as both goalkeepers and people and push them to be the best they can be on and off the pitch so we are delighted Logan has this fantastic opportunity.
Put simply Logan loves goalkeeping! Every week he has shown great enthusiasm and commitment to our sessions and straight away I saw some natural ability in him even at such a young age and importantly he also has an outgoing personality which I feel helps as a goalkeeper. We have continued to work and encourage Logan and I have also worked on a 1-2-1 basis with him trying to get the foundations of goalkeeping in place for him.
Obviously he still has a long way to go and lots to work on but I think with the staff I personally know at Reading Academy, he will be in a good place in terms of coaching and goalkeeping specific time spent with him, games programme and facilities to thrive and kick on now in his development.
We all wish him well and look forward to seeing how he progesses"
