Samuel spent the last 18 months at Steve Hale Goalkeeping School and showed a great natural talent.
Steve was keen to bring him into the academy setup at Swindon but at the time Samuels parents couldnt logistically commit to the demands of academy football despite interest from Steve at Swindon along with Reading and Southampton.
It was always the case however that this season Samuel and his parents would look to progress into academy football and therefore had to leave Steve Hale Goalkeeping School in the summer to commit to that cause with Steve's good wishes.
"Samy was a joy to coach in his time with us, he has great natural talent allied to a good attitude to learning. He always listened intently, answering and asking questions along the way and was always polite and respectful. He worked hard in the sessions and showed real talent in goal. I have no doubt he will sign for an academy, and he will likely have a pick of which one he signs for. I for one wish him well this season and beyond and will keep an eye on where he ends up and how he gets on."
